KATIE S. DAVIES
Katie represents governmental entities, businesses, and individuals in complex commercial, civil rights, and constitutional litigation. Throughout her career, Katie has also represented insurers, businesses, and individuals in insurance coverage, personal injury, and medical malpractice litigation.
Katie is a 2004 graduate of Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), and a 2010 graduate of Vermont Law School where she earned her J.D. and a Master of Environmental Law and Policy. While at Vermont Law School, Katie was selected to become a member of the Trial Advocacy Moot Court Team and Appellate Moot Court Advisory Board. She was also elected to serve as President of the Negotiation and Client Counseling Team.
Katie began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Anna Moran in the Kenai, Alaska Superior Court. She then became an Assistant District Attorney in the Anchorage District Attorney’s office where she prosecuted felony drug crimes and sexual assaults. Katie transitioned into civil practice where she maintained a diverse commercial litigation and municipal law practice. As a city attorney for several Alaskan communities, Katie routinely negotiated procurement contracts and leases, drafted ordinances and city policies, provided training on ethics and conflicts of interest, and represented city commissions and advisory boards in administrative proceedings, litigation, and appeals in the Alaska Superior Court, Alaska Supreme Court, and U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska.
Katie lives in St. Louis with her husband Bryn, two daughters Molly and Paige, golden retriever Frannie, and lab Hudson. Outside of the office, she enjoys cycling, yoga, hiking, and exploring St. Louis.
She is admitted to practice in Missouri, Alaska, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska. Katie is in the process of being admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
